Hi, my grandmother (maiden name Crandon) is the daughter of Doris Eggleston. Thomas Eggleston and Mary Ann Welham are her great great grandparents. I have done extensive work on the family history and am more than happy to share. I didn't have a great deal of detail regarding Samuel and Eliza, so what you have done here is fantastic. Thankyou.

Hi my name is Gary Brown and I have also been doing some research on the Welhams from Alresford your Samuel Welham born 1801 is my Great Great Great Grand Uncle, the following link may be of some interest http://garybrownancestry.com/sadlergenerations1.html, about 2/3rds done the page he is mentioned with a link to a newspaper report which shows he had a bit of legal trouble before he left the UK, I am fairly convinced the Samuel Welham metioned is the same as yours please contact me for any further info.
